We are now accepting applications for our pioneer cohort of Knight-Hennessy Scholars. To enroll in September 2018, you must apply to the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program by 1:00pm (Pacific Time) on September 27, 2017, and also apply separately to the specific Stanford graduate degree program that you wish to pursue. The graduate degree program applications, other than MBA and MD, will open in September 2017.
Key Dates in Timeline for 2018 Entry
The below dates are fluid and subject to change, but here’s our best guess at the process and timeline for becoming a Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University.
Spring 2017: we defined the application requirements and provided contact information for campus contacts.
Autumn 2017: you'll submit your Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program application by 1:00pm Pacific Time on September 27, 2017. All Stanford graduate program applications will be available/open by this point, as well.
- The MBA Program application is due by the first-round deadline of September 19, 2017.
- The MD Program is due a couple of weeks before the September 29, 2017 deadline given the AMCAS timeline.
- For all other graduate degree programs, you will need to submit your application with all application materials complete no later than November 15, 2017.
Winter 2018: in mid-December, we’ll select around 100 finalists and invite you to visit Stanford at our expense for Immersion Weekend, to take place January 19-21, 2018. This will give you the opportunity to learn more about your home department and about Stanford more generally, and also will allow us to get to know you better.
Winter 2018: we’ll select and notify the pioneer class of Knight-Hennessy Scholars in mid-February 2018. Departments also will contemporaneously notify applicants selected as Knight-Hennessy Scholars of admission to the graduate program.
Summer 2018: we’ll bring the pioneer class together for an orientation experience.
Autumn 2018: you’ll enroll at Stanford in your home graduate program.
