The first cohort enrolled at Stanford in September 2018. The 2024 cohort is the seventh cohort. 

The first cohort of 51 scholars enrolled at Stanford in September 2018. The addition of the 2024 cohort of 90 scholars will bring the total number to 513 Knight-Hennessy scholars since the program began. 

Please see the 2024 cohort at a glance page for a summary about the 2024 cohort. KHS received 8,272 applications to join the 2024 cohort, an increase of 16.2% from the 7,119 applications submitted for the 2023 cohort. Of the total applications submitted, 4,493 were eligible applications for the 2024 cohort. Applications are considered eligible when prospective scholars submit applications to both KHS as well as their Stanford degree program.
