The Detect Cancer Initiative (DCI) aims to enhance access to cancer screening for individuals in low-resource settings. With the number of global cancer cases expected to reach 27 million by 2040, early detection through screening will be critical. However, effective screening programs in low-resource settings are limited by insufficient healthcare coverage, poor infrastructure, and limited community engagement. The DCI’s initial efforts will be within India, collaborating with local stakeholders to create a sustainable screening program in a single village or town. The long-term goal is to scale this model, creating tailored solutions to establish effective screening programs around the world.
