MS in Education Data Science
Akshatha Kamath, from Udupi, India, is pursuing a master’s degree in education data science at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. She earned a bachelor's degree in computer science engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. She aspires to a career personalizing education and technology for students' diverse learning needs. Her non-profit SantaNet aims to create a platform to remove the barriers in connecting underprivileged orphans and motivated volunteers. She volunteered as a curriculum developer and teacher at the United Nations Volunteers and led Women In Tech communities at her university. She has conducted research on robotics and improving reliability in deep learning models. Akshatha's work has led to multiple technologies that solve medical challenges, winning her team the Stanford Health++ Hackathon and the MIT COVID-19 Challenge. She was awarded the DAAD-WISE scholarship and the NTU India-Connect award to pursue research and was named a Girlscript India 21under21 fellow.
