Alexis Doyle

Alexis (Lexi) Doyle, from Los Altos, California, is pursuing an MD at Stanford School of Medicine. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and international peace studies, and from the University of Oxford with master’s degrees in medical anthropology and public policy. As a doctor, Lexi aspires to partner with her patients to improve their health and to work with policymakers to craft programs, laws, and policies to improve healthcare for the vulnerable. Before coming to Stanford, she worked for the Mississippi State Department of Health on a community health worker program addressing maternal morbidity and mortality and interned at American Public Health Association in Washington, DC. In Guatemala, she had the opportunity to work with the Primeros Pasos Clinic and their patients on preventive health projects aimed at decreasing the rates of parasitic infections in the Palajunoj Valley. She is a Rhodes Scholar and also received a Hesburgh-Yusko Scholarship at Notre Dame.
