Ana Gabriela Franco, from Cartagena, Colombia, is pursuing an LLM in international economic law, business, and policy at Stanford Law School. She graduated with Colegiatura de NĂºmero, the highest academic distinction awarded by Universidad del Rosario, where she earned a law degree and a postgraduate degree in public procurement law. She aspires to develop legal and regulatory tools that enable and scale infrastructure projects in Latin America to advance inclusive development. As an associate in the infrastructure, projects, and public procurement team at a Colombian law firm, she has advised clients on the structuring and management of major transport, water and waste, and social infrastructure initiatives nationwide. She led pro bono cases for national and international organizations on public education, gender equality, and child protection. Her recognitions include the Pro Bono Case of the Year award for supporting vulnerable communities in rebuilding essential infrastructure after a natural disaster.
