Anoma Bhat
Anoma Bhat is pursuing a master's degree in international policy at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences and a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business. During her time at Stanford, she has worked at a startup combatting disinformation and hate online, at an India-based social enterprise, and on field research about political violence in India. Prior to graduate school, Anoma worked for four years on USAID-funded international human rights and peacebuilding projects and at a public interest law firm in San Francisco. This work included managing grants to civil society groups across the Middle East, leading research teams in El Salvador, Morocco, and Jordan to assess policy recommendations for violence prevention, and regularly liaising with State Department and USAID counterparts. Anoma has working proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, and Urdu and graduated magna cum laude from Claremont McKenna College with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies.
