Azizjon Azimi, from Tajikistan, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He graduated cum laude from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in economics (high honors) and international relations (honors), and was a Holten Family Research Scholar. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School with a concentration in political and economic development. Azizjon aspires to work as a social entrepreneur, seeking to bridge the gap between governance and economic empowerment globally. He is the founder and chairman of TajRupt, an NGO pioneering youth civic engagement through extracurricular education in Tajikistan. Azizjon has conducted research on Islamic finance in the UAE, and is now working to launch a startup platform on electoral politics called YouPol at the Harvard Innovation Lab. He was also named to Forbes’ list of the top social entrepreneurs in the world under the age of 30.
