Dana Briantseva

Bohdana-Myroslava Briantseva, from Nikopol, Ukraine, is pursuing a PhD in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine at Stanford School of Medicine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology and bioengineering from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and a master’s degree in stem cell biology at the University of Southern California. Her research spans Wnt signaling and enhancer-based regulation of gene expression programs in laboratories across the United Kingdom, the United States, and Switzerland. She aspires to increase public awareness of the stem cell field and to address the spread of unproven therapies. She is particularly interested in communicating science to a broader audience, including by writing popular science books and integrating evidence-based education into the U.S. school system. In the long term, she aims to establish the first stem cell biology educational program in Ukraine, advancing research training and fostering sustained international collaboration to support the country’s scientific and economic reconstruction.
