Bruno Morato, from Lagoa Formosa, Brazil, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a MLS in legal studies at Stanford Law School. He earned an MD from the University of São Paulo, and participated in clerkships at Harvard Medical School. Bruno aspires to improve access to high-quality medical services worldwide to enhance human-centric care. He was an executive director and led the consulting unit of an NGO he helped build and now serves as a board member, providing pro bono services to public teaching hospitals in Brazil. He also held representative positions at two hospital boards and led the Healthcare Management League for two years. Bruno was the first medical student in the country to intern at Anheuser-Busch InBev, McKinsey & Company and Credit Suisse, later working at NexoData, a health-tech startup, and DASA, an integrated health network in Latin America. He was a member of the rowing team and is a recipient of the Fundação Estudar Scholarship.
