Cameron Waltz

Cameron Waltz, from Fort Worth, Texas, is pursuing a master of arts in East Asian studies at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies, international relations, Chinese, and government. Through his research on U.S. policy toward China, Cameron aims to contribute to the careful management of Sino-American relations over his lifetime. He previously served as a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where he published research on China’s security engagement with the Global South. Cameron is a recipient of the Boren Scholarship, Critical Language Scholarship, and the Dedman Distinguished Scholarship.
