Carla Ramazan

Carla Ramazan, from Reno, Nevada, is pursuing a JD at Stanford Law School. She aspires to work as a trial litigator to restore and expand access to reproductive rights. A Romanian-Turkish immigrant, Carla graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas as a political science major. At UTD, she served as student government vice president as a sophomore and founded Deeds Not Words, the largest political organization on campus. In 2021, Carla co-founded Wild West Access Fund (WWAF), Nevada’s first abortion fund. Since its founding, WWAF has assisted more than 2,000 people seeking abortion care and has been featured in media outlets such as Bustle magazine and the New York Times. Carla holds a master’s in global affairs from Tsinghua University. She has been named a Truman Scholar, a Schwarzman Scholar, and UTD’s 2021 Outstanding Undergraduate Student.
