Charles Stone

Charles Stone, from Hong Kong, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a master’s degree in environment and resources at Stanford School of Earth, Energy and Environmental Sciences. He graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and global affairs. Charles aims to lead a clean energy or climate technology company that has significant decarbonization potential, as a means of addressing climate change. Before graduate school, Charles worked in management consulting at Oliver Wyman and Boston Consulting Group in New York, and at Fenix International, an off-grid solar company in Uganda and Zambia. While at Stanford, Charles interned at Malta, a long duration energy storage company, and conducted research on natural climate solutions. Charles is also a pro bono consultant to Care for the Homeless, a New York-based homeless services organization. At Yale, he helped to design and build “PremieBreathe,” a low-cost infant respirator prototype, and participated in collegiate a cappella and club water polo.
