Chloe Nguyen, from Las Vegas, Nevada, is pursuing a JD at Stanford Law School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy with a minor in psychology from Duke University and a master’s degree in digital policy from University College Dublin in Ireland. Drawing on her education in the European Union and the United States, Chloe aspires to employ law, policy, and psychology to reduce intergroup conflict online and craft better digital environments for all. During her undergraduate studies, she founded the Duke Justice Project, which works to reduce local recidivism, and helped establish programs aimed at promoting meaningful conversations across difference. Her work in journalism with organizations like The 9th Street Journal has amplified stories within diverse communities and sought to understand their experiences online. At Duke, Chloe was a Baldwin scholar and a Nakayama Scholar, and received the Terry Sanford Leadership Award. As a Mitchell Scholar in Ireland, her focus surrounds data protection and collective actions.
