Dalia Salaam Rishani
Dalia Salaam Rishani focuses on interfaith and cultural understanding, advocating peace and promoting education in the Middle East. She is the founder of Hood Hood Books, a publishing house for children and young adults, that aims to bridge the cultural and religious gap between Eastern and Western civilizations.
Dalia is a former trustee at The Next Century Foundation, an NGO that promotes conflict resolution in the Middle East. Within the foundation, she was president of the International Media Awards, an event that honors journalists who go beyond the call of duty in search of truth in the Middle East. She also co-founded the Scholarship Fund of the British Lebanese Association. Her responsibilities include selecting and mentoring students from Lebanon who wish to pursue their master's degrees in Britain.
She is a graduate of St. Peter’s College, Oxford, with a degree in politics, philosophy and economics, and obtained a master's degree at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University.
