Dara Drake, from Highland Park, Illinois, is pursuing a master’s degree in policy, organization, and leadership studies from Stanford Graduate School of Education and a master of public policy from the School of Humanities and Sciences. She has a bachelor’s degree in policy studies from Syracuse University. Dara is passionate about addressing inequities that lie at the intersection of education, technology, and government. She co-founded SkillWin!, which brings “skills coaches” to schools and nonprofits across New York state. Her research on student voice and empowerment has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented to global audiences, including twice at the United Nations. Dara most recently served as a consultant and a national operations lead in education at KPMG, making her the youngest education lead in the firm’s history. At Syracuse, Dara was named a University Scholar, a Maxwell | Arts & Sciences Scholar, and a Remembrance Scholar.
