Debbie Ho

Debbie Ho, from Ipoh, Malaysia, is pursuing a PhD in bioengineering at Stanford School of Engineering. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in medical sciences from the University of Edinburgh, where she was the valedictorian of the medical sciences class. She subsequently completed a master of research degree in stem cell biology and medicine and MPhil in medical sciences at the University of Cambridge. Over the past 10 years, at academic institutions in Europe and the United States, Debbie researched stem cell biology. Her latest role as a staff scientist in the Skylar-Scott lab at Stanford University focused on the applications of stem cells to manufacture 3D-printed cardiovascular tissues and organs. Her career highlight was presenting a talk and poster at the International Society of Stem Cell Research 2022 Annual Meeting on her work, which was subsequently published in Advanced Healthcare Materials.
