Frishta Qaderi

Frishta Qaderi, from Anaheim, California, is pursuing a JD at Stanford Law School. She graduated from Brown University with degrees in history and development studies and studied at the University of Oxford as a Marshall scholar, receiving her MPhil from the School of Geography and the Environment. Frishta aspires to spearhead novel approaches to the governance of resources. An Afghan American, she is particularly committed to fostering inclusive conversations around the climate crisis and environmental justice, having worked with the United Nations Development Program, the International Water Management Institute, and the U.S. Commercial Service. Her ethnographic research on water management and more-than-human rights has been supported by the Fulbright Research Fellowship and the Gilman Scholarship. She served as a head editor for the Oxford Climate Review.
