Harrison G. Zhang, from Berwyn, Pennsylvania, is pursuing an MD and PhD in Biomedical Data Science at Stanford School of Medicine. He is hoping to build a future where artificial intelligence and biotechnologies converge to deliver health care that is remarkably precise, broadly accessible, and inherently just. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude, and with highest honors from Columbia University, majoring in biology and statistics. As the principal author of eight scientific articles based on his undergraduate research that have been published in leading journals, Harrison has an established track record for steering multi-continent research teams made up of more than 50 scientists. He served as editor in chief of the Columbia Journal of Global Health, where he directed the evaluation of public health solutions, and is the founding director of Humanitarian Voices, where he amplifies the contributions of humanitarians forging their vision of a peaceful world. Harrison is a Columbia Science Research Fellow, Harvard Biomedical Informatics Fellow, American College of Rheumatology Emerging Investigator of Excellence, and Samvid scholar.
