Jaelynn Walls

Jaelynn Walls, from Houston, Texas, is pursuing a PhD in art history at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. She graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in art history and minor in African American studies. Jaelynn aspires to increase accessibility to art and art education for marginalized communities through alternative and digital spaces. She has worked in curatorial and education positions with The Blanton Museum of Art, Sugar Hill Museum in Harlem, The Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and is the current Andrew W. Mellon Curatorial Fellow at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. She independently curates exhibitions across Texas centering marginalized artists and created and hosts Art in Color, an educational art history video series focused on increasing knowledge and resources related to the works and lives of contemporary artists of color.
