Jasper Burns, from Glencoe, Illinois, is pursuing a JD degree at Stanford Law School. Previously, he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and economics from Boston University. Jasper aspires to leverage his multidisciplinary background to address complex legal and policy issues at scale. In his eight years as an aviator in the U.S. Navy, Jasper led missions in electronic attack fighter jets while deployed aboard the USS Carl Vinson, published analyses within the intelligence community, and assisted with diplomatic events as a White House social aide. He finished his naval career as a military fellow at McKinsey & Company. Jasper was the top graduate of his naval flight school class. In college, he received the World Model United Nations’ Diplomacy Award in Rome, won a national essay competition, and studied Mandarin in Shanghai.
