Joe Nail, from Lenexa, Kansas, is pursuing a master’s degree in international policy. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa in three years from University of North Carolina as a Morehead-Cain, National Merit, and Coca-Cola scholar. At age 21, Joe founded Lead For America (LFA), a nonpartisan national service organization with annual revenues exceeding $8.5 million. Joe was named to Forbes 30 Under 30, and LFA has been featured in the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and CBS This Morning. Joe interned with Congress, Search For Common Ground in Sierra Leone, and the African Leadership University in Mauritius, and was awarded U.S. State Department scholarships to Indonesia and Germany. Joe serves as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army National Guard and graduated first in his class from Officer Candidate School. He is a National Geographic Young Explorer, Ironman triathlete, mountaineer, and ultramarathon runner.
