Jonathan Deemer, from Bennet, Nebraska, is pursuing a JD at Stanford Law School, and a master’s degree in international policy at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. At Union College (Lincoln, Nebraska), he graduated summa cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in international relations and business administration, and an associate's degree in biomedical science. Jonathan aspires to commission in the US Marine Corps, and later to join foreign policy and peacemaking efforts by practicing law in the State Department’s Office of the Legal Adviser for Law Enforcement and Intelligence. He interned at the White House in the Office of the Vice President, the Department of Defense, the Hudson Institute’s Center for Political-Military Analysis, and for US Senator Ben Sasse. He was a four-year athlete at Union College, serving as team captain of the Warriors varsity basketball team for three years, and was named a Distinguished Scholar-Athlete. He was also named a Young Scholar by the American Enterprise Institute and a Lee and Byun International Relations and Cultural Awareness Scholar by the Lint Center for National Security Studies.
