Joon Park

Sang Zoon “Joon” Park, from Seoul, South Korea, is pursuing an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a master in public policy at Harvard Kennedy School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Seoul National University, with a minor in sociology. Joon is committed to supporting victims of sexual violence by leveraging policy, technology, and community engagement in collaboration with nonprofit organizations. The founder of Tong-Gam, a nonprofit aiding victims of sexual violence, he organized large-scale advocacy events and spearheaded donation initiatives. These initiatives funded arts and poetry classes and medical treatments for child victims of sexual abuse. As a journalist at The Dong-A Ilbo, Joon’s reporting for the newspaper prompted significant policy changes, including new regulations on date rape drugs and enhanced refugee rights. He was awarded the Korea Journalism Grand Prize and the Legal News Journalist of the Year Award. Apart from work, Joon loves choir singing.
