Juntao Ren

Juntao Ren, from San Jose, California, is pursuing a PhD in computer science at Stanford School of Engineering. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from Cornell University. Juntao aspires to create augmentative technologies ranging from assistive home robots for the elderly and disabled to personalized educational platforms for children worldwide. His research has been published at venues including the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems, the International Conference on Machine Learning, the Conference on Robot Learning, and the International Conference on Robotics and Automation. Juntao’s academic journey is enriched by a cherished annual tradition of returning to the small village in rural China where his grandfather grew up and running a summer camp that teaches English to local elementary and middle school students. Those experiences will forever fuel his commitment to developing impactful innovations.
