Justin Yates

Justin Yates, from Ashburn, Virginia, is pursuing a master's degree in international policy at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) with a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering. After completing his studies at Stanford, Justin will attend pilot training and become a pilot in the United States Air Force. Justin aspires to combine his knowledge of engineering with his advanced studies in international policy to inform U.S. policy in the Indo-Pacific region and identify the effects of emerging technologies on international security. At the Academy, Justin was a leader for the National Character and Leadership Symposium, Academy Ambassador, member of the Scholar's program, member of the Model United Nations club, and frequent volunteer in the community.  He has completed research with organizations such as the Air Force Research Laboratory, Lockheed Martin, and Blue Horizons.
