Katherine Tang

Katherine Tang, born in Shanghai, China, and raised in Toronto, Canada, is pursuing an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a dual degree with Harvard Kennedy School. She is the first Knight-Hennessy scholar from the University of Western Ontario. Katherine is deeply passionate about the intersection of energy and international development. At the Boston Consulting Group, she advised some of the world’s largest investors in investment strategy. Katherine also worked at Energicity in Sierra Leone and Benin, where she spearheaded efforts to bring solar energy to rural communities for the first time. Her international work experience spans seven countries across North America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Katherine has also served as the head delegate for the Canadian Youth Delegation to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
