Keller Blackwell

Keller Blackwell, from San Bernardino, California, is pursuing a PhD in computer science at Stanford School of Engineering. They graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Keller aspires to advance universal access to private and secure communication through the design of cryptographical tools. Previously, Keller was a mathematical research intern at Clemson University and Williams College. At Clemson’s Cryptography and Coding Theory lab, they developed a hardened variant of the McEliece cryptosystem, a framework for strangers to initiate private communication over public channels. They co-founded CodebreakHERS, a cybersecurity-themed STEM gateway program for high schoolers in academically underserved communities. Keller is a recipient of the Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship.
