Kenneth Brinson, from Kennesaw, Georgia, is pursuing an MD at Stanford School of Medicine, and a PhD in materials science and engineering at Stanford School of Engineering. At the United States Military Academy (West Point), he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with a minor in pre-medical studies. He aspires to an active public service career as a physician-scientist. He rose to Battalion Academic Officer at West Point and was responsible for over 300 cadets. An NCAA Division I two-sport athlete, he was part of a football renaissance at Army, named an Academic All-American, All-Independent First Team, and a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete. He earned US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Honors, Patriot League Champion, and was named Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year in Men’s Track & Field. He also received West Point’s highest leader development honors of the Distinguished Cadet Award and the Superintendent’s Award for demonstrated character, academic, physical, and military excellence.
