Kirk Lancaster

Kirk Lancaster, from Neenah, Wisconsin, is pursuing a JD at Stanford Law School. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago with bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and law, letters, and society. Kirk is interested in the intersection of technology, law, and international affairs, and hopes to work on issues of national security law and policy in the U.S. federal government. He was a research associate in Asia studies at the Council on Foreign Relations and a junior fellow with the South Asia program at the Stimson Center. Kirk studied Mandarin at Tsinghua University’s IUP center in Beijing, China, conducted research in a nanomaterials laboratory in Shanghai, China, and interned for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Chemical and Biological Weapons Affairs. He is an Astronaut Scholar and a David L. Boren Scholar.
