Kylie Elise Jones, from Fort Worth, Texas, is pursuing a master’s degree in international policy with a concentration in international security at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. She graduated summa cum laude from Pepperdine University, where she majored in international studies and global politics and minored in French. Kylie’s research focuses on nuclear weapons and emerging technology. An academic and artist, she seeks to utilize nontraditional modes of telling policy stories, such as art and film, to galvanize change to today’s perilous nuclear status quo. As a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Kylie founded the New Voices Conference on Diversity in Nuclear Policy, aimed at bridging the gap between nuclear policymaking circles and underrepresented communities. Her work can be found in publications and platforms such as the Washington Quarterly, Korea on Point, 38 North, 9DashLine, and Physicians for Social Responsibility.
