Leila Dawson

Leila Dawson, from Prince George’s County, Maryland, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a master in public policy at Harvard Kennedy School. She earned a double bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations from the University of Maryland, College Park. Leila aims to leverage cross-sector collaboration and human-centered design to improve the U.S. healthcare system. She began her career working across Capitol Hill before transitioning to Deloitte Consulting’s life sciences and healthcare practice. There, she advised leading biopharmaceutical companies, government health agencies, and global public health nonprofits. Leila co-founded Deloitte’s service offering that integrates life sciences research and development, health access, and human-centered design to enhance health care delivery and elevate the patient experience. At Stanford, she will blend policy, business, and technology to craft patient-centered health care solutions. Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership awarded Leila the Zuckerman Fellowship for her commitment to interdisciplinary thinking.
