Mallory Harris, from Dunwoody, Georgia, is pursuing a PhD in biology at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. She graduated from the University of Georgia with bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and computational biology. As a researcher and teacher, Mallory plans on supporting a shift from reactionary to preventive approaches to epidemiology. She worked on a Congressional campaign for US Representative Lucy McBath; was a communications intern at Girlology, managing social media and online advertising; coached an all-girls math team and volunteered at the East O’Keefe tutoring center; and led activism against guns on campus legislation at the University of Georgia. She studied abroad at the University of Oxford in England and the University of Montevideo in Uruguay. She received a Goldwater Scholarship, and the University of Georgia’s Foundation Fellowship.
