Marlee Burns

Marlee Burns, from Baytown, Texas, is pursuing a master’s degree in policy, organization, and leadership studies at Stanford Graduate School of Education. At the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), she earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations, Middle Eastern Studies, and Plan II Honors. She has worked with KIPP public charter schools and Breakthrough Austin, and interned with the White House during the Obama Administration. She spent a year as a Fulbright Scholar teaching in Bilesuvar, Azerbaijan, and three years serving as the Head of Upper School at Abaarso School of Science and Technology in Somaliland. Marlee aspires to develop a vision for the school system of the future and improve education systems abroad.
