Max Denning, from London, England, is pursuing a master's degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He earned a bachelor’s degree in medical sciences and an MD from the University of Oxford, and pursued a master's degree in patient safety at Imperial College London. Max aspires to transform healthcare delivery to improve the quality, access, and safety of surgical care. He has published his research into global surgery, leadership diversity, and patient safety. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and a captain in the British Army Reserves, and was chair of governors for a UK hospital school. Max represented England at the Commonwealth Judo Tournament in Singapore and was the British Universities Judo Champion at Oxford, where he was also a sports scholar.
