Meagan Prins-McKinney

Meagan Prins-McKinney, from Toronto, Ontario, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business. She graduated with first class honors from McGill University with a bachelor of commerce degree in finance and economics. Meagan is interested in the catalytic role of technology in advancing financial inclusion. While at McGill, she co-founded PennyDrops, Canada’s largest youth-focused financial literacy organization, and Zua Microfinance, an insurtech nonprofit that provides index-based microinsurance to female subsistence farmers in Zambia. Meagan began her career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in New York, where she covered fintech and insurance clients for the firm. She then joined the World Bank Group as an investor before serving as vice president at Quona Capital, a global fintech-focused venture capital fund, where she co-led fintech deals and supported entrepreneurs in transforming financial services markets with tech-enabled products. Meagan is a Desautels Management Achievement Award recipient.
