Michael N. Manta grew up in New York City and is pursuing a doctor in philosophy in computational and mathematical engineering at Stanford of Engineering. He earned his bachelor of science in mathematics from the California Institute of Technology, where he developed a strong foundation in theoretical and applied mathematics. His academic interests lie in partial differential equations and scientific computing, with a focus on leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve impactful, real-world problems. Michael’s research experience spans mathematical physics and operator learning, and his involvement in undergraduate outreach reflects his commitment to academic excellence and community service. His recognitions include the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) and the Cambridge Scholars Study Abroad Fellowship.
