Nina Chen

Nina Chen, born in Beijing, China, and raised in Toronto, Canada, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Stanford Graduate School of Business and a master's degree in environment and resources at the new Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. She graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor's degree in social studies. Nina aspires to unlock human potential in underserved communities around the world, by creating more equitable pathways to education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Prior to graduate school, she spent three years in Zambia, Kenya, and South Africa investing in, and scaling, early-stage companies. She led growth and strategy at the African Leadership Group's ALX, an organization dedicated to transforming Africa through training and leadership development. She has also worked at Raba Partnership, an early-stage VC fund investing in technology start-ups across Africa, and FirstWave Group, an aquaculture business based in Zambia. Nina started her career in management consulting at Bain & Company in New York.
