Radwa Hamed

Radwa Hamed, from Cairo, Egypt, is pursuing a master’s degree in design impact at Stanford School of Engineering and an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. At the American University in Cairo, she earned a bachelor’s degree as a double major in computer engineering and electronics engineering. Radwa aspires to help change people’s daily lives in Egypt and other developing countries, with a focus on education, reviving cultural heritage, and tourism. She was a data processing engineer at Affectiva, interned at Google and Microsoft, and was a data designer at Rise Up Summit in Egypt. While studying abroad at the University of California, Berkeley, she was an assistant with a research group on campus. She co-founded Planet Home, a platform to help refugees find work opportunities, awarding her an honorable mention as one of the 25 Under 25 by Internet Society for her work with the organization.
