Rawan Dareer

2022 Cohort

Rawan Dareer, from Toronto, Ontario, is pursuing a JD at Stanford Law School. She graduated from NYU Abu Dhabi with a bachelor’s degree in political science and is completing an MSc in migration studies at the University of Oxford. As a Sudanese-Canadian, Rawan believes deeply in the importance of good governance and aspires to support countries with their constitutional reconstruction processes. She is a project coordinator at Global Partners Governance where she worked on developing and implementing a code of conduct for the Kuwaiti Government. Rawan previously conducted research for the UN Situation Report on Migration and proposed youth-centered policies to the UAE government at the Arab Youth Centre (AYC). She was a University Honors Scholar and served as the first global member of the NYU Student Government Executive Committee where she received an NYU Senior Leadership Award for Outstanding COVID-19 Response.
