Reed Shafer-Ray, from Norman, Oklahoma, is pursuing an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He graduated from Harvard College with a bachelor’s degree in social studies magna cum laude with highest honors. Reed aspires to build organizations and influence policies that help local leaders solve local problems in the lowest income communities in the world. Reed is founder and CEO of Mountaintop, a paid, one-year, full-time fellowship for the most promising local leaders to deepen and scale social impact in their home communities across lower income countries. Previously, Reed co-founded and served as COO of Lead For America, a nonprofit that has raised over $20 million to fund more than 400 paid, full-time service fellowships in over 150 communities spanning 42 states and five tribal nations and benefiting half a million people across the United States. Reed is also an anonymous living liver donor.
