Ryunosuke (Ryan) Goto

Ryunosuke “Ryan” Goto, MD, born in Hagi, Japan, and raised in London, England and Cupertino, California, is pursuing a PhD in biomedical data science at Stanford School of Medicine. Upon graduating from high school in California, he moved to Japan to pursue a medical degree at the University of Tokyo, after which he completed his pediatrics residency at the University of Tokyo Hospital and Nagano Children’s Hospital. Ryan aspires to improve the health of children around the world using bioinformatics and is especially passionate about protecting their mental health. To this end, in 2022, Ryan founded the AUDRI project, which aims to improve the mental health of adolescents exposed to the war in Ukraine. With more than 10,000 Ukrainian adolescents currently enrolled, he has received the Stanislav Kostyuchenko Award from the Ukrainian Psychiatric Association for his ongoing commitment to protecting the mental health of Ukrainian children.
