Sasha Seymore

Sasha Seymore, from New Bern, North Carolina, is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He graduated from the University of North Carolina (UNC) with a bachelor’s degree in economics and global studies and a minor in business administration, and from Queen’s University Belfast with a master’s degree in conflict transformation and social justice. Sasha aspires to build an organization dedicated to using the power of sport to bring divided communities together. He worked at McKinsey & Company as a business analyst, and interned at STEPS Southern Africa to help treat children born with clubfoot. At UNC, he was elected senior class president and was a member of the Tar Heels varsity basketball team. He played a season of professional basketball with the Belfast Star of the Super League, the top league in Ireland. He was a Morehead-Cain Scholar, was named men’s basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year at UNC, and was one of 12 Americans awarded a George J. Mitchell Scholarship in 2015.
