Sophia Pribus, from Riverwoods, Illinois, is pursuing an MD at Stanford School of Medicine. She completed a bachelor’s degree in biomedical computation and a minor in data science from Stanford University, graduating with honors and distinction. Sophia aspires to advance precision medicine globally through computational research and increased representation in clinical trials and datasets, optimizing treatment outcomes for patients across the world. During her undergraduate studies, Sophia led outreach and training reform projects at Stanford’s student-run free clinic and developed an international high school mentorship program through Stanford Women in Medicine. She is passionate about supporting immigrants pursuing professional advancement in the United States and founded the nonprofit Dialekt to provide free personalized tutoring and educational support for immigrants and refugees. Sophia was a 2024 Frederick Emmons Terman Engineering Scholar and a 2024-25 Fulbright Scholar based at the European Molecular Biology Labs in Heidelberg, Germany.
