Tanajia Moye-Green

Tanajia Moye-Green, from Mulberry, Florida, is pursuing a PhD in sociology at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. She graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University as a sociology major with minors in data science and poverty studies. Tanajia aspires to do research that humanizes and amplifies the voices of those impacted by mass incarceration and emphasizes the racial disparities in criminal justice contact outcomes for individuals, families, and ultimately communities. She also hopes to support the work being done to address the injustices of criminal justice abroad. She has interned with the Vera Institute of Justice and the National Institute for Criminal Justice Reform and supported various anti-racist initiatives in Lexington, Virginia. She is a Fulbright Postgraduate Award Grantee, Beinecke Scholar, and an alumnus of the Public Policy and International Affairs Fellowship.
