Tsimafei Malakhouski, from Salihorsk, Belarus, is pursuing a master’s degree in international policy at Stanford School of Humanities and Sciences. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the European Humanities University in Vilnius, Lithuania, and holds a master’s degree in social science of the internet from the University of Oxford, where he was a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust Scholar. At Stanford, Tsimafei will focus on international policy solutions aimed at preventing the autocratic misuse of digital technologies and empowering anti-authoritarian resistance in non-democratic countries. Currently living in exile in Poland, Tsimafei serves as a program manager and political analyst at *Honest People, a Belarusian civil society organization. His work leverages digital technologies to strengthen civic education and promote democratic civic engagement in Belarus, despite widespread censorship and ongoing political repression.
