William Rojas Carabali

William Rojas-Carabali, from Caquetá, Colombia, is pursuing a master of science in translational research and applied medicine at Stanford School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Universidad del Rosario, Colombia, and received a master’s in data science at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali in Colombia. William aims to bridge the gap between bench and bedside by translating artificial intelligence and scientific discoveries into real-world medical applications. As a research fellow at Universidad del Rosario, New York University Langone Health, and Nanyang Technological University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and as a visiting scholar at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore, William has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers and contributed to establishing the PROTON Research Incubator in Singapore and the Colombian Visual Science and Translational Eye Research Institute (CERI). His work has been recognized with awards including the NIH Travel Grant and the ARVO Foundation Fellowship.
