
Yasmine Omri

Yasmine Omri, from Tunis, Tunisia, is pursuing a PhD in electrical engineering at Stanford School of Engineering. She received a bachelor of science in electrical engineering and with a secondary field in computer science at Harvard University. Yasmine is interested in algorithm and hardware co-design for data intensive applications. In the future, she hopes to play a key role in fostering the extraordinary scientific research potential back home and in Africa more broadly. As an undergraduate, she was a violinist with the Mozart Society Orchestra, and served on the boards of Harvard Engineers Without Borders and the Undergraduate Engineering Society. She was also a finalist in the 2024 Three Minute Thesis Competition and received the 2024 Dean’s Award for Outstanding Engineering Project, the Henry Shaw Summer Fellowship, the 2023 Electrical Engineering Community Contributions Award, and the 2023 and 2021 John Harvard Scholar awards.
