Yufei Ding

2026 Cohort
Shenzhen, Guangdong, China

Yufei Ding, from Shenzhen, China, will be pursuing a PhD in computer science at Stanford University after completing her bachelor’s degree in AI at Peking University, where she ranked first in her cohort. Her research centers on data-efficient and generalizable robot learning, with the aim of building robotic systems that can learn new skills with minimal human supervision and transfer knowledge across embodiments and real-world environments. In the long term, Yufei hopes to help unlock human potential at scale by lowering barriers to resources, tools, and mentorship. She has contributed to robotics datasets, tutorials and platforms such as Open6DOR, DexGraspNet2.0, Simulately, and RoboVerse. As president of the Academic Committee of Intelligence Science and Technology at Peking University, and a founding member of NodeAI, she helped build inclusive communities that broaden access to resources, mentorship, and opportunity. Yufei was awarded the National Scholarship, the SenseTime Scholarship, and Peking University’s Outstanding Student Leader award, and she was a member of Stanford’s Undergraduate Visiting Research 2025 cohort.
