Ade Ayoola, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, is pursuing an MD at Stanford School of Medicine. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in biological chemistry. She aspires to practice medicine as a physician while conducting statistical and epidemiological research to address health disparities. At the University of Chicago, she worked as a student research assistant in the biological science division. She interned at BUILD Chicago, a nonprofit focused on improving the quality of life in low-income neighborhoods. She was selected as a member of the University of Chicago’s Maroon Key Society, and was named a Clinical Excellence Scholar, Questbridge Scholar, and National Achievement Scholar. In track and field, she was an NCAA national qualifier and University Athletic Association champion in the outdoor high jump. She is also a nominee for the 2018 NCAA Woman of the Year award.
